    Just a heads up to always check Amazon, I've got prime and last month had four bfgs 285 75 r16s shipped to my door for 32 less per tire plus NO taxes (they did fall short on the prime 2 day shipping, took 5).

    They had a discount button you had to click that removed the taxes (basically a percentage off that covered the tax total).

    What hoops? Discount Tire consistently has the best combination of price and service. Now you'll have to pay a shop to mount and balance the tires you bought from Tirerack, and you'll miss out on free tire rotation. Sounds like you created more work for yourself.

    When I added them to my cart the price included mounting fees (that I couldn't decline) and no mention of a discount... I've got a connection that can mount them, I just need a good deal that drops them off at my door...lol
