The local Discount is where I got my Goodyears, and they did excellent work, by my eye

Took it back for the 7500 mile balance and rotate, and the entire office staff knew me by name and came up and shook my hand when I walked in the door. I thought I was on reality TV or some shit.

Turns out, they had asked me to fill out a survey when I bought my meats, and apparently (I have no memory of doing this there, but it's totally something I've done before elsewhere, so I believe it) when I got to the bottom of the form and it asks what they can do to make the buying/waiting experience better, my answer of hookers & blow didn't go over well with corporate.

They actually sent someone to the store over it. My survey is apparently printed in the break room for future new-hire reference.

Well, they initially told me that the parts would arrive within a week to a week and a half. I agreed and waited till the next Friday (I purchased them the previous Monday). They said that the wheels had come in, but they were waiting on the tires. He also said the wheel caps would be arriving the following Monday. I wait till Tuesday to call and they said everything arrived yesterday (Monday) and was ready for installation. Thursday I show up and have them install "everything". That's when they told me the wheel caps hadn't arrived. So I then waited for the wheel caps to come in which was Wednesday of the following week. I went to pick them up and they told me they were the wrong size when I GOT THERE. He should've checked them before I drove the thirty miles up there to pick em up. I even told him when I had the wheels installed that I lived half an hour away.

I wish I had the money to purchase the KO2's, but for my needs the KO's are 'okay'. I stick to the paved roads with little to no off-road. If I took my rig off-road a bunch, I'd consider something different.

None of this makes any sense at all. they 2 day ship anything from either other stores or a warehouse... they take no more than 4 days for anything you order, they just require a deposit.

and they have strict QA with all paperwork so they receive the correct items.. SO I am calling you out for flat out lies and exaggeration.

I can't afford to shell out that money again for new tires when I have less than 5k on these. And if they did two day ship my items, I didn't receive a phone call about it. It's your right to not believe me, but why would I make this up? It's not helping me in any way. I got my items after a bunch of hassle, so it's not that I am disappointed with the products.

If you bought had these installed less than 30 days ago you are within your right to exchange on their dime, you pick a diff tire and BAM just like that.. you have them exchanged.

I wish it was within thirty days, but I had these installed in March.

This thread is horse shit. This douche went on the internet and looked up a bunch of crap, went to Discount Tire with a list of stuff he wanted, they ordered it as he requested and it was all wrong because he told them to order the wrong stuff. Then he throws a hissy fit because they ordered what he asked for and now he blames them because he didn't make sure he was ordering the correct stuff for his truck. Then he joins an internet forum to spread lies. Hell, he probably works at a goodyear store or something.
On a side note, when I bought my KO2's, the KO were cheaper at a lot of places, but many were discontinuing them. I bought my shit at DT and sat and watched through the big window and made sure everything was done right. In and out in a half hour, no appointment, no scratched rims, and watched them put all the lugs on by hand and torque everything. Cheapest place on price, too

That's because I didn't realize my lugs were the wrong size. I wouldn't have created this thread otherwise. My Off-road shop told me the lugs were the incorrect size when I was placing my 5100's a little over a week ago. That's what set the stage for this rant. I can handle not receiving my order on time, but MY LIFE WAS ON THE LINE.

I'm cool with you man. It's just he keeps on moaning and groaning about my mistakes in the thread. I'm not trying to be a douche, but when he critiques EVERY thing I say it gets annoying.

This shit just keeps getting more fun, how can we be pissed? Maybe the off-road shop mixed the lugs up? Hell, the wheels stayed on with no problem for 3 months, I'd say they were fine. If they were coming off, it would've happened.
You just keep getting screwed, first the DT, the KO instead KO2, and then you get 5100's. Just a matter of time before you bitch about those, too.

Wow! sorry to hear about your problems with DT. I have used them many time over the past 2 years for my Tacoma as well as my wife and sons tire needs. I use a newer shop located in Belton, MO and they have been fantastic. I get the best price I can find on the internet for tires and wheels and they beat those prices every time. They get most of the items I want with in a day or two, mount them quickly and on schedule and have always done a very professional job. Tacoma use hub centric wheels which they knew as well as knew to spin balance in stead of using the haweka method which is for lug centric. They also torqued the lug to 85 ft. lbs. by hand with a torque wrench. I was very impressed.

so, apparently it depends on where you go and sound like you found a lemon of a shop.
