    Hi there,

I am looking at purchasing a 2022 Tacoma SR 4x4 V6. The stock wheels that come on it are the alloys, which need to be changed immediately. I am looking at buying a set of Method 305NV in a 16x8 0 offset mounted to a 265/70/r16 tire. I know this is bigger than the stock tire size, however after what I have gathered online this setup should fit without issue.

The problem is that Discount Tire will not allow me to order this setup on their website as it says it will not fit the tacoma, specifically the wheels. I am wondering if anyone is running a similar setup and can help me out just to be sure they fit?

You're good to go. Use the search function and check for your Method's and the tire size. You have plenty of room. I have bigger tires on my SR.

Also.. you said the alloys come on your SR. Are you sure? Most SRs come with plain steel wheels.

My advice. Drive it with the stock setup for a while. If you install heavier or bigger tires right away you won't know/what characteristics you've changed.

My mistake in the alloys, it does in fact come with the steel wheels. Thanks for your help!

Note that these wheels most likely will require different lug nuts than the steel wheels use.

I don't see it listed on the link you included so be sure to find out what style they use (I would guess "Mag style"). Once you find out the exact style of lugnut you can order them online (cheaper and more options. For example you can purchase black lug nuts. )

Additionally the TPMS sensors will be missing from the new wheels and I have heard that the steel wheel sensors will not fit alloy wheels (I've also heard some people just turn the sensors upside down and it works but.. <shrug>).
