Sounds by your last paragraph you understand. Your 2 hours is my 30 minutes. Low tolerance for bs. Imagine if everyone did? How smoothly do you think things would go? Pardon me for getting all deep and stuff, haha.

My tolerance definitely runs higher. My real issue in my case was the excuse of an appointment literally only means I get to check in that day, not even finish...for an oil change. If they would have apologized, or given me a heads up, I would have been more receptive.

Well when you're 40 and have a laundry list of BS that has molded you into an impatient "asshole", "Whiny little bitch" You'll understand. Side note, I should hit you with, why don't you do the oil change yourself, quit bitching about it! Get a drain pan some damn oil, and wrench god dammit! I have 10 pages of that from most that don't do there own rotations. #not all!!!!!! (#not all) was coined in today's regressive vagina world where you have to say not everyone! I mean, why use generalizations and profiling to keep you safe, aware, and informed.

I do my own oil changes, that was when I had the 5 freebies lol. To be fair, everyone saying "do your own rotation," that's a lot of work for something so minor. An oil change, belt change, air filter, etc is like 10 minutes of work, whereas your own rotation would take probably a half hour with some heavier lifting. I would rather pay $10 for that.

By thankful if you have a Discount Tire or Americas Tire. I wish we had one here in Nodak. The level of bullshit hits 11 when you have shops selling all the "other" sundries.

OP is lame. My local Discount Tire is great. Living in Seattle I also have Les Schwad to choose from. I stopped going to them about 10 years ago after 20 years of use. To many bad experiences from multiple locations. Not one from Discount ever. Telling people to "stay away" because you had to wait is dumb. Shops get busy. Simple jobs can morph into time sucks it's just the way it goes. Maybe you should have just left when they told you it was going to be a long ass wait.

The locals are really talented at removing people's wheels, and I can just use their cinder blocks instead of jack stands

Since I always buy my tires and or rims from discount tire,my tire rotations are free for life,so Iam happy with them and what they offer for buying from them.

Discount Tire messed up every single Rim of mine. Picture posted completely all the way around and the other 3 tires have that mark either 1/2 way or 3/4 if the Rim. Never going to discount again. I'll keep you posted if the compensate.

Been going to DT for over a decade never an issue. The 2 shops closest to me are extremely busy so the wait can be well over an hour. Actually the only issue was they scratched a wheel on my 4Runner but before they were done the manager had approached me acknowledging their mistake and an ordered me a new wheel. I could rotate myself but I get rotation and road force balance each time.

Here's an idea for all these people that are complaining about discount. Here is my home remedy to mount and balance your own tires
    Quality floor jack 300
    Jackstands 100
    Decent socket 25
    Impact wrench 400
    Torque wrench 500
    Tire machine 7000
    Balancer 5000
Air compressor to run them 3000
    Wheel weights. Depends
Here you go. See how far you are ahead by waiting a little or paying a fee at discount...

I just go into establishments expecting service to be bad and things to get fucked up. It has improved my life greatly.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Discount Tire. They've always provided good service, they've worked with me on pricing for tires and wheels on multiple vehicles I've owned. They've never said a word about spacers I've had on several vehicle's.

Yes, they tend to be busy most of the time. That happens when you're doing things better than your competitors. If I need tires I just plan on being the first one there when they open or plan on dropping the vehicle off. If you made an appointment a week in advance then you probably had enough time to arrange to drop it off, too.
