Hey all - I'll try to make this short and get to the point...

Purchased a Tacoma over the summer. My own mistake that I did not bring it to my mechanic before finalizing the purchase (2007 - 2.7l).
Ended up having to replace entire AC system, patch some exhaust leaks, and still have a very slow leaky oil pan and some weird clutch cable issue.

    All that aside :(...
I woke up today and pulled the truck out of the garage... to find the steering wheel super hard to turn...you know, the feeling of having no power steering.
I look on the garage floor and there is a big puddle.

I didn't do much investigation, it's freezing, dark and to be honest I was just too bummed.

My question is: where do I start? I've done some research on here, seems like it could be a number of different things.

Is there some easy diagnosis I could do myself? Do I just bring it straight to my mechanic and get it on a lift?

Also - if it ends up being the rack that needs to be replaced, would it make sense to do the oil pan and clutch cable at the same time?

Thanks in advance for any help / advice / suggestions!

Just have to see where the fluid is leaking out of, could be as simple as a hose or line.

Clutch is hydraulic there is no cable, what kind of issues are you having with it?

Oil pan mabe someone else can weigh in, I don't have much experience with the 2.7L.

Shade tree mechanic here. Just saying your oil pan may just need tightened. Same with PS. Look around to see where it is wet and diagnose from there.
    Just my opinion. Good luck.
