    yippee!!

in my ever growing challenge to hurt myself with powertools..i discovered new ground.

i was cutting a piece of bamboo to get it to fit my tacoma for a dump run. it was vibrating with the saw so it wouldnt cut..i loosened my forward grip, and WHAM! the end of the blade slips, jams into the bamboo, saw kicks back into my thumb. i had heavy leather gloves on, so it was more of a blunt force trauma to my left thumb fingerprint/pad area. it hurt like a mofo..but i finished..i felt wetness in the glove and pulled it off..BLOOD! wtf? i cleaned it up and put on my standard iodine cleaning stuff..and inspected the wound. the saw hit my thumb so hard, with such blunt force..it literally blew my finger pad off a bit..like it rubbed it off.

talk about a tiny wound making life difficult..we really rely on our thumbs..putting on jeans, a belt..tying shoes.. haha..i am disabled. it is finally healing and the dried up skin flap is about to fly off. my thumb now wont disable my iphone5 fingerprint password :(

live and learn..i'll spare us the photo..it looks way better now anyways.
