Discuss Speaker Wires (RCA, power, etc)

OK, its time to do wires... Who has the best RCA, power, and speaker wire? Stinger, Kicker, RF, Monster, Street Wires?

Where is the best place to buy wire?

Forgot to add... looking for a 6 wire RCA set... since I have an all in 1 amp might as well have an all in 1 RCA too.

I use multiconductor shielded wire and solder on the RCAs myself.

 

Definantly dont want to do that. A guy who has a similar set up to mine did that and had connector issues. Its not worth the money saved to risk.

 

Sorry about your friend. It sounds like he did a poor job. I've never had issues with my workmanship however.

 

Rockford makes a good wire. It is expensive but worth it. They are one of the few companies that sells a true to gauge wire. I have rockford 0 and 4 gauge power wire with rockford rca's and speaker wire. I also like the coating on their power wires because it very flexible.

 

The knukonceptz wires are also a true gauge wire. I use the Kolossus Flex power wires (a very flexible 0/1 ga, as well as 4 and 8 ga set of cables).

Also, I use the Krystal RCA's and the noise floor in my car is the lowest I've ever been able to obtain thus far...but that's partly because of good install practices (after much learning the hard way) as well as better equipment all around. So take it with a grain of salt.


For the price, I was really surprised at the quality of all of these cables.

 

Knukonceptz didnt have the fuse holder I wanted so I got a bunch of midlevel Stinger stuff and got every wire I needed and the fuse holder, etc. for $100.

I got 16, 12, and 4 ga wire and 18 for the remote turn on. Its got pretty silver and blue jackets and I can wrap the 4ga around my pinky it has so many strands.
