Is it possible to take a scangauge 2 and have it's data display in the rearview monitor while driving? I think this would be sweet -- and I know it's doable. But is it doable without cramming a small PC in the dash?:notsure:

If anybody has heard of something like this I'll take any leads at all. otherwise i'll post it on some device hacking forums. \

Scangauge 2 + Gentex rearview monitor.

    anything is doable..

never head of anything like this though... you'd probably be best getting a double din dash system and running the vid feed to that...

I think I've heard of the screens in the mirror burning out if they're left on for a while..

    edit:

dude.. I just looked at a scanguage on the internet.. theres no way you'll get that to play in any video screen... it's completely different language... like saying you want to plug your alarm clock into a tv.. just won't work.

This really does look like a better solution. that way I don't have to wait for single pieces of data to scroll through. Thanks for the link!

If the scangauge has a composite video out yes it will work but I doubt that is does.
