Not arguing, just saying if it's the same topper on the second gens it will fit no problem. Worst case a second gen topper could likely be installed as I know that one would fit.

Yeah not trying to argue about it. I had to cut up a perfectly good over-ARE rack because it wouldn't fit my first softopper nor my second. Just trying to let you know to save you a possible headache.

All tacoma long beds are the same internal dimensions (inside bed rail to inside bed rail, etc.). The bed rail widths and heights are what is different.

Yeah, I'm wondering if the double cab and long bed toppers are different.
Like I said, this rack is the exact dimensions of the 2nd gen so I wonder if a second gen topper would fit the first gen, i know that topper fits inside the rack at these dimensions. I'm guessing the topper for the first get is more universal and that is why the poor fit to the cab

44lbs for the short bed rack, about 35lbs for the cab

What kind of weight do you visualize the roof rack being able to hold? At least a 100#'s?

The rack will hold 500lbs. I'm not sure what the roof will hold.

I actually got one from Campways for my old Leer 100XQ, but Leer has changed the design a bit. The glass is the right size and the hinges are the same, but the latches and ball studs are in different places. They moved the struts inside the opening. Had to get different brackets for the upper ball stud. Haven't figured out the latches yet. I'm just happy I have a window again.
