I'm in North Dakota so, I'm in the cold too; have only owned it several weeks. Have you tried using mirror heat to see if that helps?

Next week it's supposed to be -15 degrees here and I will see if warm mirrors in that cold of temp makes a difference.

I mean, when I close my eyes in front of a mirror, I'm like a solid 7.

I tried to take pictures as you suggested in the other thread and the camera lens sees differently than the eye so, the photos don't really show what is actually happening. :-/

    Bump old thread. Guess why?

New 2022 Tacoma here, drivers side glass is distorted

Does Toyota really care so little that 4 years later they’re still putting these bad parts out?!
    Disappointed.

I test drove a 23 mgm this weekend brand new and it had this issue on the driver side. It’s like wearing the wrong prescription glasses. I didn’t have that problem in my 19 or my 21.

3 days after I bought my truck I brought it back to the dealer for this exact reason. My eyes just couldn't seem to adjust and I knew something was just "off" about the mirror. I had my dealer drive it with me and she noticed it too. They ordered new glass and replaced it under warranty.

I did not notice any distortion with mine but went with Spotter Mirror which I feel is an upgrade due to the built in blind spot mirror that is adjustable. It retains the BSM and heated element. Plug and play but a little expensive.

I was happy with my OEM glass, but wound up having to replace it with the spotters. (Parked under a tree while camping, a falling branch shattered the mirror glass.)

I have to say I do like the spotters better. I almost never use the fisheyes unless parking or backing a trailer, but they are nice to have. However, the optics on the main part of the mirror are much better than OEM. From fuzzy memory, I think that they are just a gnat's hair more convex than original, and it makes a noticeable difference. I suspect that Toyota's mirror is more prone to defects for the same reason.
