Distributor drive gear question!!

    97 tacoma 355,000 miles
    oil catch can-mini header-painted it last year
    Has anybody replaced the distributor drive gear while installing new distributor?

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    You have two gears the one on the distributor and the one on the cam??
    Just which one are you talking about?
    With that kind of mileage I would think those gears have worn together if you install one new one . Might think of doing both or leaving them both the same .

    Nothing like adding extra metal chips to the engine.
