He heard someone older than him once say that. He must know what he's talking about.

How many hours are spent working? How do you manage school with three jobs?

I have two full times and one part time and NO school. That's enough for me!

you have to be fired/layed off to get unemployment. you cannot quit and get it.

We had a lady quit and try and file for it and was denied.

Its a little different for .mil
I collected unemployment for about 3 months after I separated from the AF until I landed my current job. I used it for its intended purpose and did not abuse to system like so many do.

I work at a go kart track/fun center for 4 days a week after school, then I do room service and bus tables at a hotel for the late start school days and the weekends, and on Saturday/Sunday after work I work at my dads place. Its like 30 hours a week. For school I have 2 off periods and study hall so that takes care of that.

So how are you able to post here during school time? One of my jobs is running a site full time so that's why I'm on here a lot. I also work in a refrigerated warehouse 40+ hours and have a T shirt company. Are you getting benefits with those jobs? And deductions for unemployment?

This thread is full of so much ignorance ..

People drawing on unemployment is ruining America?

This fucking ignorance is ruining America.

Lazy people, fuck them. However, be very cautious about labeling people on unemployment as lazy. Some are, some aren't. Guess what out of people working, some are lazy, some aren't.

If you lose your job by being drunk/drugs/incompetent you shouldnt get unemployment... its your fault you were fired. layoffs and downsizing, yes as our govt is set up for unemployment.

+1...most kids think just going to school and doing okay makes them deserving of everything in the world.

When I was 16 I worked 30 hours a week, went to HS and participated in an early college program so when I graduated from HS I had my AA. I was lucking enough to get a beat up 1997 Tacoma from my dad. ;)

Establishing good work ethic early is important...Thank yourself man...your hard work will pay off.

If anything it's more of a structure and strong base from working at such a young age. AND the sense of self ownership, being responsible for himself and appreciating the hard earned dollar! :) Just hoping his bennies are started...
