ditch/fogs vs. S8 bar

It looks like the BD XL80s as ditches and from the fog ports puts out about the same lumens as an S8 bar. What are the pros/cons of each set up? Cost is about $800 each setup.

 

So 20k lumens i guess from the bar or from 2 xl80s, even leaving my fogs alone.

 

Much easier and cleaner to mount the light bar. The XLs will not fit in the stock fog location, you have to use the smaller Squadrons to go there. You could put them as ditch lights (though large) but the wide angle optic will create a lot of hood glare unless you really have them pointed away at the ditches. A forward mounted light bar will not create any vision reducing hood glare. But if you need ditch lights, a light bar will not serve that purpose. Very different purposes. I think you need to ask yourself what you are trying to achieve with your lighting and go from there.
