Man what a crackhead thing to do. Can't even resell them without some decent time spent repairing the wire pigtail they ripped out.

I've had lights ripped out of my grille once. Nothing to do but replace the grille, replace the lights, and move on. One of those weird random thefts where the odds of it happening twice are low.

Why the fuck would anybody want to steal one of those stupid lights to begin with! Are they that expensive / hard to get? Are they worth anything on the used parts market?

I have the same lights. Paid all of 90 bucks for mine. :anonymous:

Good news is that the install for the next set will be much easier.

No homeless camps in my ‘hood. LA, well that’s a different story. Of course I remember seeing homeless when I was in Idaho back in ‘17

Our Air Quality is pretty good actually. Only time we have a warning about is when a fire is burning in the hills. Strong smog laws make it so I rarely see (or smell) a car smoking too which is something I can’t say when I travel in other Western states.

Polluted water? That’s a new one on this So.Cal. Native. My tap water tastes as good as bottled, in fact the local water agency sends out an annual report showing its purity and all that Jazz. My plants seem to like it as well.

But please, keep hating on CA, forgetting that it is a huge place; some areas better then others. Just the same as where you live.

Anti-tamper hardware. I've got it on mine. Do both the main bolt and the adjuster bolts.
If they really want it they will get it - but this slows down the amateurs.

Drag that they ripped you off, it's a shame they wrecked your lights and left all the mounts and harness, left with the useless parts.

Might there be a quick disconnect solution for both mechanical and electrical connections that allow you to keep the lights stored away until needed?

This is really the only answer. You’d have to put anti tamper bolts on all points of the light and even then they can just hack the usually thin mounts off.

Best is a quick release at the base. Release the light, unhook the connector and stow in the vehicle or inside the house.

I think Glock makes "Anti-theft" Hardware? Only down side is in Cali you're limited to only 10 suppositories. :fenforcer:

Did you guys see the huge 60+ foot momma finwhale corpse that floated ashore at Bolsa Chica! Man, they cut that thing up and hauled it out with excavators and bulldozers STAT! By the time I got there to try to get my pound of flesh she was TOTALLY GONE. Don't get in the way of the Huntington Beach revelers and their dumb drunkin' bonfires on a Friday night. Government can't do anything right except if it's a dead finwhale that's getting in the way of people's party! Then they're like a bunch of special operators on EPO.

How the hell am I supposed to get whale oil if everyone's so efficient!?

Sorry about your lights, OP. RMV isn't a bad part of town.

At least the smell lingered for months. Basically ruined a half mile of unremarkable beach break because you couldn’t breathe

Can you still burn on Bolsa Chica?!!

Haven't been anywhere near there since I left in the mid 80's but Man, we used to drive down there from North OC all the time and have some really fun times burning shit back in the late 70's, early 80's. First time we ever hauled and placed an entire VW engine block on top of a sizeable pallet fire. THAT was interesting and a night to remember. Oh....and our old kook friend "Kellyboy" that tried to jump the fire and ended up right square in the middle of it. :bananadead:That didn't go so well but it was f'n hilarious at the time!
