I will probably go with the caliraised. And who knows, I might use it more than I intend to. Even though use it or not, I am not just putting the cheapest stuff I run across on it.

Still waiting to receive my lights. I think they just got more inventory but cant wait for it to come.

Everyone gets their lights from China that is just a fact. CaliRaised, FreedomLED, GG-Lighting and even Rigid. Its what each company does with them that justifies the price. Rigid charges so much money for their lights because they take the lights, take them apart, put new reflectors in, put on water tight connectors, seal everything and stress test the hell out of them. When was the last time you heard a new rigid light fogging up or not being as bright as anyone else? There is a reason why you pay a premium for these lights.

As for the other three each have their own. CaliRaised gets their lights from trutecled who just laser engraves their lights. They dont do anything more than that from what I know. Same use to be said for Freedom but now they use a new light distributor. I dont know anything about GG-lighting so cant really say anything on their part.

For the brackets, I have had the @CBI Offroad Fab brackets and loved them. I switch to @ragofabrication because I wanted to support them and compared both. The CBI had a very slight issue with lining up which has been noted on TW before. The Rago bolt right up with no issues. The overall design was similar but not an exact copy and I am going to leave it at that. There is only so many ways to make a bracket that bolts up in that style but each should be at least an original style based on the same design.

I am running BajaDesign Ditch lights and I love them. They have great color, output, and distance but they aren't cheap.

 

Nice! Back to my point of you get what you pay for and Baja is on the same level as Rigid

 

I think the distinction between having a similar design and having a blatant copy is not forwarding customers of yours to the website of the other company for install instructions.

It isn't hard to cut and paste and change a company's name from A to B and send that to your customers.

Nothing against Cali, your post is right on the head. It's all Chinese, the difference is who's making what for what company and how that company sells those products.

The pissing matches from one company to the other when both sell knock off brackets and LEDs from Guangdong are pretty laughable and annoying, though.

 

Yes, I've had multiple light bars and pods from Caliraised to Rigid to Rough Country to Nova.

In my opinion the best Roof mount light bar is Rough Country's X5 because it doesn't whistle or vibrate like 90% of other double rows do. Bumper mount you got Baja Designs Onx6 or Squadron, but if your on a budget go with Nova great light bars that are powder coated not painted. For pods Nova, Baja Design Squadrons, and Rigids aren't bad just rather get Baja Designs for the price. If your on a budget I'd highly recommend Nova lights for everything except roof light bars.
Just my two cents you can take them with a grain of salt.

My lights I get them from Xtremeledlights.com. Cool guys. Talk to them directly few times. Gave me some extra free lights when they delayed one of my orders. Run these pods and Light bars on all my trucks. Been going 3 year so far no issues.
