I bet it fits. I'm running cbi brackets and 3x2
    Auxbeams.

Plenty of room for bigger lights...just don't know how "cool" it'll look :notsure::popcorn:

"Too big" is subjective as well as how it will look. Here's a picture of my old truck with round lights for mock up:
    image[4].jpg

I thought they would be too big at first, but sitting in the driver's seat, I didn't lose any more visibility than with the 3x2 pods I have there now. The round light's didn't look too bad either IMO. Gave the truck the old school KC light look. But really if I can get the same amount of light out of a smaller housing, why not? Some if it may depend on the brackets you choose as different designs place the lights in slightly different locations and some may interfere with your field of vision more than others. The only way to know for sure is to go for it. It's your truck afterall, build it as you please.

Appreciate the pics, I like how the CBI brackets puts in the blind spot of the A pillar. The one light I am tentatively thinking about is 6.5" square and about 2 pounds. My concerns are if the brackets will support that weight & size- It seems almost double of the smaller lights I see

I have CBI brackets and you should be OK as far as weight. They are pretty beefy. I get a little shake on my passenger side, but nothing to be concerned about unless you plan on mounting a go-pro to it and want lousy Blair Witch quality video. If anything I would be more concerned about the larger housing of the lights interfering with the hood when open, but there's no way to know until you mount them and try it.

My cbi brackets are rock solid.
There's a few companies making the same style ebayBumper :spy:oops i mean ditch light brackets.. Most all popular brand brackets sit behind pillar. Out of veiw.
Some attach on bottom hood hinges& some on top hood hinges. Heck there's even one set for a $100!! :playball:

Good point on hood clearance- probably have to order the brackets first and go from there on light- I can always keep it small I just like how this light is package with 30 and 60 degree and the lumens are looking real strong..

Just playing with the idea more. Mocking up the truck using the 6.5" Hella covers I have and ball parking off your images on the CBI mount. My mock mounts I am sure are holding the light up 1-1.5" high but close enough. I see some smaller 4.5" lights on line that may blend a in little better though but at 4000 lumens still pretty bright.

If you're concerned about hood clearance(light height) you could always look for something like a 6-9inch led bar. It won't be as tall as the square one or the round ones, but it should be close on light output.

I swear i'm not throwing that out there because I want to do the same thing on mine but am scared of how it looks.....promise.:angrygirl:

I too have wanted to see this, but haven't seen a light bar with a bottom center mount. Custom brackets would be possible, but plug 'n play is the much goodest.

OP: Your best bet is to order brackets and then take some measurements up/down/left/right from the mounting hole and go from there. I don't think light diameter will limit you, it'll be the depth.
