I got a Wolo dixieland horn for the Tacoma and mounted it and ran the wires through the fire wall. I then bought a CH4x4 Tacoma switch to put in the shapeway cubby replacement insert next to my light bar switch.

The horn works by interrupting the ground to stop the compressor.

The CH4x4 doesnt seem to be designed this way.

I'm not sure what the best way to hook it up is. Any help would be appreciated.

Had one of these in my 77 Camaro however it was just wired with the switch it came with. Just a bit of warning it worked for about 2 months then the little motor broke... Was fun while it lasted. Why not just use the switch it came with and mount it under the dash?

Yeah it doesn't seem like its built to last, but I would still prefer to not to put the autozone button on the truck ( even if i cant see it)

I cannot recall exactly how I did it but I used a similar horn and a similar switch in my dads tundra

I don't have the wiring drawings I did, but ultimately I had to try a couple different ways until switch would light up, momentary would play the horn as long as it was pressed, and horn would stop when button was released

I didn't like that button either, but didn't seem to mind it if I couldn't see it. I feel like most switches designed to snap into those slots aren't going to act the same way.

I think you should be able to still use one you would just push it once to have it on then push it again to turn it off not hold the button? I'm not the best with wiring though...
