Is there a DIY somewhere for replacing shocks/ struts on a 2001 4x4?
Mine has 130k miles and AFAIK it still has the original parts.

the rear seems straightforward, but the front struts are just a tad beyond what I have ever done before.

    Recommended parts?

Im going to keep the ride height the same.. no reason for me to change it

Just the shocks. The rears are a simple two bolts and they are out. The fronts require you to remove the coilover assembly. You can take both assemblies to a shop and have them swapped out for you for around $40. Or you can DIY if you have access to a spring compresser.

oh... so you CAN replace just the shocks. I have access to (the neighbors) spring compressor and technical knowledge. so I'll just go that route.

I dont think I need to replace the springs. she's been 90% on road, and only off road in the sand, so not a whole lot of wear and tear on the suspension other than mileage.

    Thanks for the links!
