    A thing or two...
That's way too hot. I don't know what the 1GR thermostat temp is, but the 2TR thermostat is 186F. I'll run at 190 sometimes, but I don't think I've seen over that.

Yeah it’s pretty bad. I hope it’s not the radiator. I can do the pump thermostat fan clutch and coolant for about 200$

Also going to add a tranny cooler because that’s way too hot also....

    EDIT:
got into contact with the previous owner and he had it to the dealer three times with the same issue. They replaced the thermostat 90k miles ago. Previous owner said it would start to get too hot in slow traffic and it would go down if he revved in in nuetral.

Sounds like the fan clutch huh??

Dang, I wonder if I should knock this out while doing a coolant flush. Im trying to find out exactly where these engine block drains for the coolant are.

Guys that used the Gates Pulley, which side do I put the bushing on?

Started out the day late, driver side coolant drain thingy was a pita to access even with the wheel off. Had to call it quits, starting again in the morning.

    Thanks!

Finished mines up Sunday 0300. Took me 2 days by myself, hadn't anticipated the belt tensioner being so difficult. Getting off the alternator was alright, but the compressor had one bolt which was extremely difficult to get to. Luckily everything went together fine, but it's definitely a weekend thing for someone like me.

Am I missing something? You don’t have to remove the alternator or the belt tensioner ? Pretty sure you can either move the pulley or remove the pulley (1 bolt)

Nope. I figured while I was in there, I might as well change the serpentine belt, belt tensioner, water pump, thermostat, Idler pulleys, and radiator hoses. Water pump wasn't so bad, but getting to the fan bolts was a pain.

haha yeah, I'm glad I did it all in one go. Everything except the belt tensioner is not too bad.

The lame part, is that the Compressor only has 4 bolts, top two are easy to get to, through the wheel well. The bottom left, you'll need some kind of universal joint/wobble bendy socket thing. It's tricky, but still very doable. It's the last one, on the bottom right that gave me hell. Super freaking difficult to get to (for me). Extremely tight space, even with the universal joint, I could barely fit the socket- long or short. And when I did, it was still sorta cockeyed. Even if you have access to a lift, I don't see this being easy to do. Granted I'm not super mechanically skilled. The task itself wasn't exactly super technical, things were just hard to reach. Especially for someone with short arms like myself.

I didn’t want to mess with the tensioner so I just replaced the tensioner bearing lol

Need help ASAP. Can not get the water pump out!!! Cannot figure out how to side it out with that stupid upper assembly. Yes all the bolts are off. It either hits the ps pulley or gets jammed on upper assembly....

    Need suggestions
I've got a 2.7. Just bought the aisin pump online. Can someone give me all of the specific part numbers for the O rings, thermostat/cover, etc? I just want them to fit with the pump. Any help would be much appreciated!
