Great they are running 25% off for the 4th...and the v-6 Tritons switchbacks make this an easy mod to complete. Thanks guys...just placed an order.

I did but you don’t really need it to make it work...believe the kit is just 7,8 and 9 on the diagram basically an add a fuse and a short harness that ties the two outputs on the bulbs together. Pretty sure the bulbs already come with the output whip you could just add your own wire and connectors but the kit was cheap so I got it anyway....will see in a few days if I was right. I got v-6 tritons in my tails and they have been great so I’m sorta familiar with the bulbs.

What fuse tap did you select? I was gonna order the DRL kit but I didn’t know which fuse to tap into. I didn’t know which ones are 12v

They are all 12v...the low pro mini fits the fuse box under the dash drivers side I can’t recall off hand if the fuse box under the hood is the same type of fuses if you plan on tapping in there. I may just tap power from the parking light on the drivers side headlight (purple wire) and eliminate the add a fuse altogether since the parking light is already fused and comes on when the DRL is on anyway. I’ll have to see what the draw for power is on these switchbacks and decide then.

Nice! Did you have to order that separately? I just noticed on my order summary that those came with the kit I ordered. So I wonder why vled customer service told me I need the DRL wiring kit as well? I guess we’ll see when I hook everything up

I originally ordered switchbacks with a normal base adapter and a DRL controller thinking I could some how get the white to light up. I called VLED told me that was the base adapter I needed in order to get the white to turn on the switchback bulb.

Hook up the switchbacks today...didn’t bother with the add a fuse for the white ended up just tapping the driver side parking light since it’s already fused and is always on with the stock drl’s anyway. I’ll wait til it gets dark to decide as to wether to dim the white switchbacks when the headlights are on but so far it looks good IMO. Nice mod thanks for the tip guys!

The purple wire is +12v positive from the parking light on the drivers side can’t miss it as there are only two wires going to the parking light. I use a T-tap that came with the drl kit from V-leds. The short pigtail on the bulb adapter is what you attach to the parking light with the t-tap the other end just plugs into the pigtail on the bulb adapter...the wiring you will use is in the kit.

Did you end up hooking it up to the headlight for dimming?
I plan on tapping into the headlight but i don’t know which wire the positive is.

Not yet was on vacation this past week...probably do it tomorrow. Don’t know which is positive either but I’ll figure it out with a test light or volt meter.
