Wondered If anyone has used the bed slide drawer system with floating bed platform in the notches of the truck bed? How much is the clearance between the bed slide and the bed platform?

For the bed platform, plan is to lay two 2x6 in the notches of the bed with 3/8” plywood panels on top with carpet cover. Then have a bed slide for underneath.

When using the notches you really only get around 8 inches of space underneath which is why most people build the boxes and then put the top platform on eliminating the need for the bed notches. Also 3/8 seems way to thin if only using two boards in the notches, I had 1/2 originally and it was not stable enough and ended up upgrading to solid 3/4 plywood. If using the notches just get some clear low profile bins from target and slide them underneath that’s your best bet. If wanting to build slide drawers you’re going to want to box them out taller than you would be able to using the notches in the bed like I said before. For cost effective I would go with two 2x6 in the notches and two sheets of cut 3/4 solid plywood wrapped with carpet on top with bins underneath the platform. With the price of wood right now either way is going to be at least a few hundred dollars in supplies.

Spot on with the 3/8 advice - way too thin, use 3/4 so you dont flex and you can buy plastic totes that fit underneath for storage if u dont want the extra weight and complexity of a drawer.
