    Super cool OP, I'd love to do something like this and add panels to make it a sort-of shell that would still let me keep my tent at cab height. Don't really need the extra space of a full cap and I wouldn't fit in my garage any more but it would be nice to have a bit more protection for gear in the bed.

    Did you ever complete this project? I’m looking at these bed bars to go over my softopper and planned to weld some removable bars from one bar to the other.
