Found some time this weekend to fit everything up and just finished tweaking the model on my lunch break. Thank you Nickel for linking the thread. gave some good insight. I did a Two-part bracket with the spacer plates.
These will work with the second gen as all the original holes are still there, just don't use the spacer plates.

Word of warning. I did make a cardboard template to ensure fitment but would like a second opinion to confirm before anyone pulls the trigger and gets some steel cut. I am planning on getting these cut myself in about two weeks piggybacked on some parts for work, I just don't want anyone else to suffer if I made a mistake before I figure it out myself, so use at your own risk until then. Also I am not an engineer and can not vouch for the strength of these. so again, use at your own risk.

Nice! Thanks for putting in the work and time. Most of us work enough and are short on time so it's much appreciated.

We may start a 3rd gen thread to keep everything clean and easy to find but let's get some feedback on these plates to make sure they work well first.

Does anyone know if bolt-on sliders from a DCSB will fit an Access Cab?

Looks like this isn't true for all bolt on sliders. I picked up a set of sliders from a DCSB, but I may need to create additional holes because of rivets in the frame on an access cab.

Interesting. Well, my files were created on and AC so that may help the situation.

Just picked them up. Anyone have a hardware list so I can make a trip to the hardware store on my lunch. And they do fit

Note: Front plate not shown since I don't have 3 hands to hold it in place and take a picture.

Finally came up with a design. Hope to start bending and burning this weekend.

First off, thanks to 1boredclerk for the frame plate files!
I was working with a fab shop in Detroit on a project, they had some extra steel from a cut we were working on, so voila, frame plates! Everything else was done out on the family farm, not many good flat places to do a layup, and it was hotter then hell in the shop, so we ground and welded outdoors.
My welding skills are sub par (lots of grinding), but they turned out decent. Total of about $250 in total with steel, hardware, paint, and other things. I didn't do anything super crazy with the design, I may weld in filler plates at some point. I wanted flat sliders that acted also as steps once a small lift gets added, made cutting the tubing quite a bit easier as well. Harbor Freight tube bender is... pretty shitty. I'd get a exhaust or fab shop to do the sharper front corner bends if I did it again. The little bump out has already helped a bunch to get things that are in the back of the bed and on the top rack.
On to the next armor upgrade!

Nice! Way to get out there and make it happen! thanks for sharing. It's tough to get all suited up for welding when it's really hot.

With my new flatbed, I may end up making a new set of sliders. Mine don't match up to the new look well enough. It'll probably be the last thing to change but it's on the list.

    1. Thanks mate, help on this forum made it wayyyy easier to setup and install the brackets. Great info from forum members and so far they've been working great!
    2. Yup! 1970 K2, its a fun ride, moves about my speed. Don't know much about engines, it's the perfect little thing to start on, and it'll run on about nothing. Bought it off a farmer who was heading out of the country, its been a super fun rehab project. I used to live in Cambodia and ride one, they are perfect for scootin around and carrying little things up in the field / ripping around the dirt. Go find one! there is always one in need of some TLC in your area.

Would you be willing to share your files now? I'd like to see where these ended up, as well as possibly make some customizations specific to my truck. I have SolidWorks 2017, or we could potentially share an assembly in Onshape (onshape.com).

The files are available for download on the first page. If there is a format that you want that's not there, let me know. The files are for the frame plates only.
