I haven’t seen this problem before. But, as has been suggested, don’t mess with the frame. Notch the slider plate. You can v notch it, drill a hole, whatever you want. Toyota does like to try new things from time to time. A batch of frames may have gone out with extra bits and we’re not a big enough sample group size to have run into many of them. If I have accurate measurements of where these extra bits sit, I could change the frame plate file to accommodate.

This is how I had to cut mine / drill to get it to work with my new frame

Huh, interesting. I didn’t realize the extra rivets were on the face of the frame. For some reason I thought they were on the bottom. So, in that light, definitely don’t V notch the frame plate! Haha. The notch at the end is easy enough to add. The hole farther over...I’ll need dimensions. Preferable from the top of the frame plate, down. Then from the end of the frame plate, over. If anyone can give me those dimensions, post em up and I’ll rev the files.

Used a step bit to drill the hole.

You can see all three extra rivets in this photo

Mine only has the extra on the bottom of the frame. Seems to be a lot of variations.

They're close to done now! Just need to get my nut plates figured out and made this weekend, and then I'll hopefully be painting them on Sunday. Using the Rustoleum Bed Liner aerosol. Heard good stuff about it and should be easy to touch up. Hopefully they're mounted on Sunday or sometime next week. Gotta give a shout out to my buddy Tim at out here for helping me get them done in a much faster manner than I would have been able to myself. Hopefully I'll have some finished pics of them on my truck coming up in the not too distant future!

PREP PREP and more PREP! I have has bad luck with the rustoleum bed liner flaking but I attribute it to my lack of sufficient cleaning of the parts I did.

is it DOM Tube or HREW?
I've been trying to find free plans for Draw through tube bender on the internet for a few days, but no so much luck. I want one that tells you how to make the dies as well.

I'm a bit out of touch, are the newer Toyota frames c channel? I have a 1984 which is box frame. The frame is like new as the truck sat inside for the last 30 or so years. I just started a total resurrection of the truck do you suggest I reinforce this frame too? This is a standard cab short bed, are there drawings for this frame?

On my 2nd gen it is no longer fully boxed. So I imagine anything similar for your would be a completely different design.

Pretty much all of my local hardware stores (Ace, Orchard, etc) has the right grade and thread and pitch, but I had to mix and ma Ch a bit because they’d only have about 4 or 5 or any given variety. So some have different heads, some are stainless some aren’t, that kind of thing. If I hadn’t bought them so close to needing them I’m sure there’s be relatively inexpensive places online where you could get them all the same and everything. Did that for the body lift bolts back when I had an Xterra but can’t remember what site I used.
