    It took me exactly 31 minutes to flush in this new 32oz bottle of high quality brake fluid, all by myself! Not bad for my second time ever!

    how are you swapping out the old bleeder valves without getting any air into the system and without getting brake fluid from getting all over? thanks

    ARE Cap with removable plywood bed/shelf, Bilstein 5100s, LED DTRL, Satoshi Grill, TRD Black Alloy Wheels, Goodyear Duratrac Tires
    Just ordered Speed Bleeders for my 2nd gen 4x4 2009 Tacoma. I went with the stainless steel versions. A little pricey at $15 each, but the SS is supposed to include the dust caps. Ordered from the http://speedbleeder.com website. The prices on the website are apparently for a single bleeder, even though the photo above shows them packaged as a pair. I ordered (2) SB7100-SS and (2) SB1010-SS, plus the $3 bag and $3 hose....$71 total, which is way more than I had expected. I'll try to follow up with a post after I get them installed.

    FWIW, my 2009 is a TRD 4x4 sport edition. It does not have the motorized brake pump. It has the doughnut shaped vacuum assist.

    ^ Good deal. You going to do a flush yourself? Or just looking to help with bleeding as a one person op?

    Before I bought mine, I got a quote from an indy shop to flush my brake fluid and they said $65 which I thought was a good deal. Since I've installed my speed bleeders, I've already done two flushes. Hence, mine have paid for themselves almost twice over. :D

    Your welcome. If you or anyone follows the guide, forget the steps about sucking fluid out of the reservoir with syringe, just flush it out. It's faster and less shit to clean up. :thumbsup:

    How did you get all the old fluid out? I still have some funky green fluid at the top of the rear sections, the reservoir on my 11 off road has baffles in it. I sucked out what i could with a siphon which left it about half full then ran about 48 ounces through the system to flush the lines.

    Just bleed all four corners, one at a time, until new fluid comes out. It took about 40oz of fluid to do it. Start at rear pass, rear driver, front pass, front driver, then done. Real easy with the built in electric motor as described in OP.

    I did that and it was pushing clear fluid without cycling the fluid from the back of the reservoir.

    @Crom - I have an 05 DCSB OR. My brake reservoir looks exactly like yours. What is the "black doughnut thing" that you speak of? I cannot find it anywhere near the reservoir. See pic.

    Either way, I'm going to do this mod. It would be really nice to have the one off "05 that has the electric brake booster.

    Really interesting. Your master cylinder looks just like mine. Does your truck have VSC? It was an optional feature in trucks prior to '09.

    From your pic, you don't have a vacuum booster so you should be good to go.

    Don't bother using a syringe on the reservoir, just flush it all out the lines, it's faster and less mess that way.

    No to A-Trac, Yes to VSC - I ordered all possible options in 2004 for the 2nd Gen 2005 introductory year. I think I got one of the earliest off the factory line. Thanks.
    This is on my to do list. Oil catch-can gets priority. Thanks!

    I did the speed bleeder upgrade and flushed the brake fluid on my 2011 RC 4x4. Hadn't been done before and now it will be done regularly. Thanks for sharing the info and doing the write up, it's nice to be able to follow in your footsteps! Much appreciated!

    This has me confused as well. In the op picture it shows a pack of two sb's? On the website it looks like only one per?? I'm looking at doing this soon as well. I just replaced the front rotors and pads and the brakes feel a little soft. I know the fluid needs to be flushed so I'm thinking of the Speedbleeders. Nick how did you get the 2 packs?

    If I'm replacing brake lines in the process, will these procedures still work. There will obviously be more air in the system at that point, how do I flush it out?
