Relax, it is a lot but if you break it down and reread each of the first posts individually a few times it becomes clear. It just takes time to get familiar with each of the parts and also each step in the process. It definitely had my brain spinning forever awhile. It’s practically a new language but with a comparatively small vocabulary. Learning new things is what school was supposed to train us how to do. It’s a process and the op provided a well written textbook.

That would make you normal, so don’t sweat it! I too read the entire thread, but also re-read many of the key posts… over and over, until my understanding and confidence improved. Just take your time and write out a list or two of what you are trying to accomplish and check them off as you make progress.

Check out quoted post below. @yodataco made the original content a PDF. I printed it and found it much more digestible in hard copy, and easier to reference when working on stuff, crossing items off the list, etc.

This, I also found that as my understanding increased I was able to imagine how I might do things differently to customize it for my needs. Give yourself the time to allow for that.

please let me know if i get this right, some other things confused me so i want to do the very basic.

    battery > breaker > bussman> switch > accessory
i dont need anything else right?
the blue sea confuses me, why does people still use it when the bussman have it's own fuse?

Can you share what your ultimate end goal is? What are you doing/planning to run?

Is that PDF available for all of us? It would be more convenient to use a document rather than a laptop...

run 20inch diodedynamics on the sso bumper, run the winch, run the arb compressor and run the roof rack led thru the bussman. probably run 2-1 watt led on the inside hood so when u open the hood the led automatically turns on.
i'm only gonna have to 2switches "inside" the winch switch and compressor will be in the hood, somewhere near the bussman.

Where are you talking about? The OP uses Blue Sea bus bars, not fuse boxes.

    It's more like this:

battery -> breaker (or large fuse) -> bussman -> accessory

The switch output feeds into the bussman.

A relay, in the bussman, is just a electronically controlled switch. The reason/advantage to using a relay is it can handle a lot of current (up to 30 amps) whereas a switch can handle about 2 amps safely. (Yes, I melted a switch in my younger years...)

Keep rereading the articles - this is really a simple concept that will click in your head. You'll get it.

Since the Bussman has both fuses and relays the layout isn’t linear like your description.
Battery feeds the Bussman which powers the relays through the built in fuses and then to the accessories but the switches are a parallel circuit.
    Battery> Breaker > Bussman fuse > Bussman relay> Accessory > Ground.

Switch power (ignition hot or always hot fused source) > Switch > Bussman relay > Ground.
The switch circuit activates the relays but the accessories get power from the fuse that supplies each relay.

BTW, the winch draws too much power to run through the bussman. You want the winch tied directly to the battery. See this post in my build thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/scott-b-s-2015-ac-build-expo-style.368814/page-13#post-22543143
