Alright ladies and gents, back for some more advice.

Searching didn't turn me up exactly what I need, which is this:
I refuse to spend the $15 shipping on a $5 mount for my Firestik CB antenna, so I'm going to make one. It's either going to be in the hood channel or on the rail system in the bed.

Either way, what needs to be included on the mount? Basically, what makes it different than just a normal piece of steel? I know it has to be grounded, anything else?

    Thanks
