Nice work! Still waiting for someone to do the vent through the seat mod.

I did the ball chiller mod on mine today, but used the duct out of a 4Runner from the junkyard. Not sure if the knee panel can transfer or not - it was a different color. The duct was a perfect fit (it’s the same duct but has the slot cut out for the ball chiller). Now I just need to grab the vent grille and all will be good!

If anyone is wondering, highly recommend getting a 4Runner duct and swapping it in, took like 20 minutes and that was mostly cutting my knee panel.

I’d guess the piece of duct came out of a 3rd gen 4Runner, they share lots of the same parts. I’d love to see if the knee panel will also transfer over

The knee panel will be different because of the parking brake location. The 1st gen Taco's hand brake is on the lower dash, through that panel. The 3rd gen 4Runner has a hand brake between the front seats.

Other than that fact, they look like they might be interchangeable. Anyone have both trucks to try it?

I would close all other vents to maximize scrotum cooling efficiency.

Nice! Any pics? It'd be interesting to see if the 4runner ducting would make it plug and play with no cutting of the duct. I don't think the trim piece would swap over, I already considered that.

I forgot to take pics under the knee panel, but I can confirm that the 4Runner duct is plug and play. I did this mod yesterday and it fits perfectly. Also, for those interested, this page has a list of vehicles with the same vent in case you want to head down to your local junk yard and grab one:

Dang ordering a new one, fuck it why not. There are two for cheap on ebay, one $10 (with $40 shipping) and one $20 (with $25 shipping):brianr:

Definitely recommend the 4runner vent tube, takes out some of the guess work and makes a better connection between the vent tube and the vent for max airflow
