I'm thinking I might just use a duralast filter and gasket when I get around to changing mine. My local autozone has them for $21.99. Part No. TF225 for the A750E/F.

That's what I used, quality looks comparable to the original -- it's not a complex part.

Just wanted to post about my experience doing this today 2012 dclb sport. As there are a couple of lessons learned.

    1. The AT TEMP light only illuminated after the final shift back into neutral. It would not illuminate again after the final shift back to park. After multiple tries I just let it run and it went the AT TEMP light lit up indicating it was time to check the fluid level.

    2. In mid forty degree weather I let the truck run 20 minutes and it never reached the correct temperature to check the fluid level. I stopped and just waited until later in the day, mid fifties weather and it took 15 minutes.

    3. After waiting the first 20 minutes when it was too cold I just went ahead and checked fluid level. I felt it was close to warm enough. Either way nothing dripped out. So I was actually low.

    4. I was kind of sloppy with the jug I used for measuring what I pumped out. I either pumped too much out or the truck was low to begin with. Ended up putting in 15 quarts and probably 1/2 quart drained out during the final fluid level check.

It seems slightly better during shifts. I guess I have more driveline vibrations than I wanted.

Hey guys, just wondering where you get your atf fluid from? Looking at amsoil or Redline D6 (found 12 qts for $150 at walmart). But just wondering where the best place to get it is. Didnt realize how spendy a tranny flush is.. I guess still cheaper than the $225 the dealer wants though..

Weird.. you wouldnt think a tranny flush would make that happen. Is that fluid compatible with toyota?

Were you running the truck to push out the old fluid? Was it running weird then?

Shit happens to me all the time.. youre not alone. I wonder if the computer is trying to get used to the new fluid? Maybe since the fluid is fresh your tranny is shifting differently? Get your tranny flashed at the dealer? Had to get my wifes cherokee reflashed a few times because the shift points were hard and all over the place. Just a thought
