    Hello all,

I just purchased a set of clazzio leather seat covers and a set of 4 carbon fiber heating elements for the front seats with a single illuminated switche with 2 dials super stoked to install but my question is this should I install the heating elements directly to the seat cover or remove the factory sport seat fabric and install under the padding? If I install under the padding will it affect the amount of heat the seats put out since I'm putting another layer (seat cover)over the fabric ? If I install directly to the seat cover will that damage the leather seat cover long term?

If anyone has any advice to give I am all ears

    thank you

    Ben

I did the Clazzio seat covers and applied the seat heaters directly to the backside of the seat covers. Works great with no issues so far.

Did you own a pair of these, or is this just your opinion?

they are seat covers, you dont need to own them to know. look at the pictures of the Clazzio and look at the photos of the Kitzkins. two completely different products. has been discussed ad-nauseam.

I don't know about the brand, but I have leather "seat covers", and they look 100% factory. To the point where people say to me "I didn't think leather was an option in Tacomas." They were put in by a local auto place.

They have heating elements which were installed under the factory upholstery. The switch is on the side of the seat between the seat and the door.

I was also looking for heating kit yesterday and Amazon has a TON on them. I just got some new Wet Okole seat covers and it seems the right time to do this.

    Thanks Ben!

Also............. Has anyone else added the heating elements to the Wet Okole seat covers?

Yes its the exact same thing as Clazzio seat COVERS... if your installing a seat cover the heating mat gets stuck to the back of the cover. if your reupholstering, then it gets attached to the seat foam below the leather

I have the basic cloth seats and my plan was to place the heating mats on the cloth and put my new OKOLE covers on top of them.

Just trying to figure out WHAT heating mat to purchase. I want one that has the small round switches AND the needed relay.
