Were you able to find this? I'm about to start a similar build and need to track down the same wires :)

I am myself also very interested in doing this build before the winter comes but will need to have it removable and on a budget.

Im also after doing something similar in my gfs rav4 with the same tablet but keeping the stock deck and integrating http://mercurycaraudio.com/PSD47682-ProductServiceDetail-mgr_950z.html into the whole mix w my iPhone/tablet being one source and the stock deck via loc being secondary source.

Have you managed full blue tooth integration with the Nexus for voice and calls ?

Yes I did. I believe I tied together the purple and the beige/red wires and the yellow/black was just grounded out. Pic stolen from another thread.

I haven't. You'd THINK that would be the easiest thing to do with software....but apparently no one makes an app for that yet. I'm planning to use Google Voice on the tablet but I haven't tried it yet. The idea would be to automatically forward all calls to google voice when in the car.

Supposedly this is an Android limitation; you can't bluetooth connect your phone to the tablet and use the tablet's microphone and speakers for phone calls. Tablet Talk only gives you a dial pad on the tablet but your phone does all the work. Sucks :(

Not bad! If you're dying for a physical knob that would be great! I love my steering wheel controls though! :D

Steven, great job!!! I'm just a little confused (and I did read the whole thread) but how exactly did you connect the audio to the speakers? I understand you ran the 3.5mm outlet to an amplifier? I'm a little lost on this... Does it have anything to do with the Behringer interface? I think that's for the microphone, right?

I used the Behringer USB DAC to run an optical cable to my Audison Bit1.1 processor since it has an optical input. I could have just as easily run RCA from the Behringer DAC to the processor (or amp).

Oh I'm not giving up my steering wheel controls, I have a Joycon to handle that. I just don't want to be limited to them because volume control on the tablet interface isn't the best!

Let me know if you're able to get all 5 buttons to work. For some reason, on my joycon, the down track button and the MODE button are recognized as the same button press. Which effectively renders them the same button. Would love to have the MODE button do something like go to home or something.

I think I may have found your issue:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2014-navigation-unit-in-2013.304014/page-3#post-8118543

This is for a 2013 model so the wire colors may be different, but I suspect the principle is the same on your '09. I'm guessing Mode on one control wire and track down on the other control wire have the same resistance, so the Joycon sees them as the same button since their both tied to channel A. If you wire one to channel A and the other to channel B on the Joycon it will probably work correctly. I can't say for sure since I haven't wired mine yet but it's worth trying :)

Excellent theory! I suspect their resistance may be the same for the reasons you mentioned. I can't say with any degree of certainty but I THINK I tried using more than one channel to wire it up and got the same results. Let me know if you find anything different after you get yours done.

Starting to make some progress on the install... right now everything is just test fitted to make sure it works. I still need to make some plastic mounts for the bottom of the tablet to rest against once I figure out exactly where I want the top of the screen to be. I also need to install the Joycon and program it, figure out the wiring for the factory microphone and adapt it to work with the USB DAC, wire the factory USB and aux, and make a trim panel for the DSP control box. Plus whatever else I'm forgetting!

Looks great so far! I like that home screen a lot. What are you planning to use for phone calls? Is that google voice? How do you have it setup?

The home screen is Car Launcher Pro: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.autolauncher.motorcar

My current thought is to just to start using my Google Voice number as my main phone number, assuming I can get the tablet to work properly with it using Talkatone or something. I need to do some experimenting to see if it's worthwhile, otherwise I may just use a bluetooth headset if I need to. Not ideal but I'll give up hands free calling for everything else I gain.

Confirmed - Mode and Up buttons have the same resistance (A4 and B1). I have A on pin 21, B on pin 22, and pin 23 grounded.

Pictures of how you wired this up? And did you figure out how to do long press vs short press? I wasn't able to figure this out either.

After confirmation yesterday that it works like a champ I'd have no problem going wifi with a tablet to an airport express feeding optical to a DSP. works great once you do a power supply hack for DC power. c5ace95f781196245b5a24f8ca7f046e_30cd3a488ff493d30c80d153dc97409c44458642.jpg07989c173a24fecb0560571dedb5f53e_65acbda4c641653f0ee1dd46a422a97f8c12e98b.jpgee2ef9e295e48031079fa7cc06548cad_50a840b74d5e6d4926e07717c544a04002369b09.jpg
