Looks great on that 95 - 97 front end, like it was meant to be there in the first place. I'm not so sure it would look as good on my 01-04 front end, but I'm tempted to try it.

It doesn't look as good as the 1995 grill style to be honest.

    Agreed :pout:

The 01 - 04 front end just doesn't look as good as the 95 - 97 period, lol.

Oh damn, didn't even realize yours was a 2000...nice. Yeah that's something I'd like to do but unfortunately I have a list of a million other things that take priority lol.

I just have a soft spot for the OG 1st gen front end...reminds me more of the Toyota pickups of old.

That said, I'll take my 01 - 04 front end over a 98 - 2000 any day of the week (or a 2nd/3rd gen for that matter)

The 98-2000 is a terrible looking front end. I would dare say the worst of the gens, ever.

See now I feel insulted a bit, but I swapped out my front end so I don't care :D

I like the stock 01-04 grille. Looks like an older Toyota 4x4 grille with the jeep-esque bars.

That's what's keeping me from doing it too. The TOYOTA looks so good on the 1.0 gen but a little less on the 1.5 gen unfortunately. I feel the same way about the tailgate lettering too. Guess I'll just have to buy another one...:spy:

Did you buy that grill black or did you paint it yourself? I looked all over for a black grill and couldn't come up with one so I bought a kind of dark gray colored on .

I painted it black with Bedliner, I like the texture of it but you can sand it and paint it any color you want. Some have even color-matched it.
