    Hi there,

as Tacos are very scares in Germany some of the spare parts are not easily available.
The pollenfilter is one of those that I only would get in the USA...so I made my own
IMG_1737.jpg The old one is now 15 months/37.000 km old

I got some plastic U-profile and a universal filter for kitchen exhaust systems pretty cheap ( under 5$) in the local hardware store

    IMG_1738.jpg
I made a kind of a frame that has the same size as the outside measurement of the original filter. (20cm x 20,5cm)
    IMG_1739.jpg
The corners I secured with hot glue.
    IMG_1740.jpg
I took 2 layers of the filter mat and cut it to size.

    IMG_1741.jpg
On the one (upper side) I fixed the mat with hot glue to the frame.

    IMG_1743.jpg
To prevent the mat getting loose and touching the fan wheel (bottom side) I added some plastic tube (found it in my workshop...you could also use a thin steel wire) that I also fixed with the glue.
It also makes the frame more stable.

Thats how it looks like from the side...

Fits perfectly, easy to be removed and made completely from plastic it can easily cleaned with warm soap water and be used many times.
I hope my suggestion is helpful for somebody who wants to make it's own...:)

Nice. Good job. Something is definitely better than nothing.

    No Amazon in Germany?

    yes...would be available...some 30 or 35.-€...and the K&N version would be some 70.-€...so 20 minutes of work and 5.-€ ist cheaper...

In that case, I would be making my own as well.
