Yeah 48" cross members from TNUTZ. Only issue I had was that come of the bolts had knicks in the thread so I emailed them and they sent me new bolts. Also if you are going to paint the rack black, i would try and find bolts that are already powder coated or painted black. The driver bit takes the paint right off so i had to assemble it then paint it.

I did, was order number 5, a long time ago. No CC or payment info, it was just a "place in line." Was in contact with him through PM and it was interesting stories, last I was told is that they were being sent to a partner somewhere on the east coast and then they would be sent out to me. That was a few weeks ago. All I was trying to get were the side plates...

What other size cross bars will work besides the 1"x2" or EX 1020?

So how long are most people cutting the short bed shell rack side plates? I'm thinking 56 should be good?

I can measure the ones I received from @BeachBoy this afternoon. They're still sitting in the packaging in the corner of my garage. I still haven't decided if I'm going to use them or not.

I'd be very interested in some dimensions...or possibly buying them if you aren't going to use them.

They also make 1x3 bars, 2x2, 3x3, 1/4 round, single, double, or triple slot as well as quad slot. If you go with something other than 1" height you'll need the holes set lower since all of them are center tapped.

Overall length on the ones I received for a short bed are 53” long.
Side plates are 53” long x 3” at the widest, 2” at the narrowest. They’re 1/4” thick aluminum.

I’m still on the fence about utilizing the side plates. The Yakima racks that were already on the shell I bought second hand meet my current needs. The prinsu style rack has just always been on the ‘want’ list, can be more functional for future mods, and of course looks cooler.

Hey everyone, I owe a bunch of people an apology; I've been through quite the rollercoaster ride due to an issue with our friend at the CBP.

Getting back up to speed now. The side plates are now with @Barnburner in Maryland, so shipping for the ones not waiting for mounts can be done soon. For the mounts, we've been delayed with prototyping but it'S now almost there, I now have the proper solidworks files that the supplier uses to do the flat design of the mounts (calculations for that are quite complex).

@Barnburner and I will keep everyone updated more closely now. This project is certainly not done, it's just the very beginning.
