    Looking to do the same for my 3rd gen DCLB. Any idea on the measurements for the alu bars on the third gens, and on a long bed?

    I think all the different companies make them all slightly different sizes. I know Prinsu does 65" long for their long bed racks and 47" wide cross bars. I elected to make mine 68" long on my 3rd long bed because I felt it looked better on my particular topper.

    Prinsu uses 3/16”. A lot of brands use 1/4”

    Ressurecting this thread because it's probably the most comprehensive source of DIY rack info on the site (unless I missed other ones). I followed many of the things shared here to build my own and I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Did a separate write-up because I didn't want to spam this thread with so much detail.
