I like this mod so much and I totally forgot about it until I saw it pop up on the main page again. I just bought 3 LED's from the superbright website, or whatever it was called, Lol. I'll have these things up and running before the trip to the sand dunes. :D

    I love lighting mods.

I currently have the DRL anytime mod on my dually fog lights setup to work with the fog light switch. I am debating either wiring them in hard to my turn signal DRL's and have them on all the time, or only have them on when I have my DRL anytime mod on.

I'm not sure which route I want to take it!

Yes I also debating that, I just want them to turn on at night, so I don't know what to do.. Maybe a separate switch just for those light, or tapping into the parking lights

I'm thinking since those light remain on constant with the Raptor, that it might be better just to tap into the parking lights circuitry. Not to mention it might look cleaner that way and add a new dynamic to the DRL's and eliminate running the DRL anytime fog light mod itself. I'm willing to try a different look!

Most, including myself, tap into the parking lights wire, so they only come on with parking lights

If the DRL's run on the same circuit though that would indicate that the lights would stay on all the time with the "parking lights." (DRL's).

Idk about your trucks 2012-2014, but I just quick spliced into the parking light (aka the light in the upper corner of headlight) not the center/blinker/flasher wiring. Works fine for me as I can switch my parking lights on/off and do not have DRLs in the flasher/blinker area

I did do a the DRL mod so my blinker bulbs' secondary filament (meant for the DRL, but not factory wired) comes on with my parking lights

Need some opinions before I hardwire this mod. Which looks better?

    Without DRL anytime fogs

Or with the DRL anytime fogs on

Here's how I wired them. I started by tying all the wires in parallel and wired tied them to some small holes I drilled into the back of the grille. This part wasn't difficult, just tedious and time consuming.

    IMAG1134_zps3c1df908_432ab513d13916359d3f9c64aa15e30fe0f8a955.jpg

After that I ran my ground to the body.

    IMAG1141_zps6f9f3587_3b88464f7d9c1a2a17c09717f845b19ab9252849.jpg

Now here came the hard part, just trying to figure out how to wire the power. Initially, I wanted to run it to the DRL only, but the issue with that more then anything was that the DRL uses some kind of funky setup to run, its not just simple power on power off. So I got to thinking, maybe I could just run it with my current DRL fog anytime mod!! Back to wire routing and working I went.

I pulled the secondary fuse box off of the main box, then pulled off the lower cover as well to expose the bottom where the wiring runs to and ran my wire through an open pin which was coincidentally right next to the pin where the power to the DRL anytime runs to.

    IMAG1142_zps77060956_f47184a43d2c355d44e7d3d1b6d6833796f1753e.jpg

    IMAG1143_zps5016baf1_963e77d12bb7e7e8a2fed91bca60f6225b90f333.jpg

I then snipped the wire to length and added a quick disconnect plug to it.

    IMAG1144_zps76b217a5_a52cc758668fd22162bde7c365ec4a6a8af903c7.jpg

Here is where the magic comes from. I took my current DRL anytime relay setup and decided to run a quick disconnect plug from it also. I soldered a loose wire from the one I snipped and this is what I turned out with.

    IMAG1145_zps6938996b_946602d145e262452191b758fc4473c94258acda.jpg

Plugged it all up and it turned out very clean and simple. You cannot even tell there's much of any wiring there outside of stock at all.

    IMAG1146_zps26dea36f_085ac09eb2d77ae4b11a5aa72fa3de968338a9c6.jpg

    IMAG1147_zps79640014_84be67403aaa0eb2d090bf8dc78411034c1a6d0f.jpg

    Final product.

    IMAG1148_zps1594b7ee_bedbfbb90b5e93b0fbc79bf6a3c899e4722b1976.jpg

    IMAG1139_zps2ab40d41_9dd5e7955fa76a997852ade7a8db454affa6897d.jpg

Thinking about it in retrospect, I will need to add a quick disconnector set to the power wire by the grille and maybe to the negative side as well to enable quick disconnections when re-installing and removing the grille.

Way more complicated than it has to be. Literally use a red/pink color quick splice to the PARKING light. The smaller, 194 type bulb in the upper outside corners of headlights. Just splice to the power there and then they'll only come on when you turn on your parking lights.

Just didn't want people thinking they had to do all that above to do this relatively fast easy mod

I did it like this to achieve the stock look and not make it look all weird with splice disconnects.

Yeah and that looks great, just didn't want people to be afraid to do the mod that are weary of wiring. I just taped mine up and put some wire loom around it, hard to tell its not an extra wire.

But either way is perfectly fine, whatever you prefer

5+4=9 and 6+3=9 different methods of achieving the end result but the result has still been achieved. :)

Yeah, sorry, I sounded kinda dickish above. It's just when I first started wiring I woulda bee like "wut", but yes, each looks noice
