Realized that I totally forgot to service my Rear Differential, especially as I was reaching 93k miles on my 2WD PreRunner.

Doing the fluid change was pretty straightforward - just a simply Drain and Fill.

I had to do some quick research about what type of rear diffs I had on my PreRunner, so had to jack up the rear wheels for that, otherwise lifting the rear wasn't necessary. Turns out I have open differentials, and no mechanical LSD (mine is auto LSD, which is electronic on my 2015 model).
So I went with just a Valvoline full synthetic 75W90 gear oil.

I followed this guide for torque specifications and other oil amounts.

Great example of proper jacking procedure! Front wheels are chocked, rear supported on jack stands.

Good eye ! And I was looking at the drain pan, I only noticed it because it was the same as mine that I got at the dollar store which isn’t the dollar store anymore. It now cost $1.25 plus tax.

Where did you get the pump? Can't seem to find a decent one for thick gear oil.

My rookie mistake for removing the jack lift because I didn't want to get it dirty from the draining old gear oil instead of using a more clever technique (like using a hose to guide the draining oil away from the jack lift, or positioning the jack lift more diagonally).

I now always keep the lift there, just tricky knowing how to position it so that it's not in the way, is all

If it is not an old model year with red vertical LSD sticker on the diff then it is not an LSD and is an open diff.
