DIY side mirror turn signal

Great write up just did it to my truck

 

Tapping into turns circuit option.
Removing the turn signal junction block (red) [for those without the DRL relay]

And adding a modified connector (90980-10802):

 

Was wondering if tapping into the DRL wire would work to keep the side mirror lights on and blink with the turn signal?

 

It would.

 

Shameless bump, these photos were great. My 2014 Off-Road was NOT pre-wired, so I had to wire it.

 

I just picked up some used Pro-EFX towing mirrors with heat and signal. My ‘13 SR5 has the 5 wires in the door but the turn signal wires aren’t functional. I’ll be using the info in this thread to get them operational.

Check the connectors for signal/power when turns are selected.

 

I have an 07 that did not come with turn signals on the mirorrs, but would love to add some. What would I need to do?
