I think it's possibly only for current owners and that's why we got the email, at least that's what they stated in email.

Oh, the GPS is absolutely useful. I was referring to the standard remote start being useful. I can't tell if my truck started or not. It's pretty disappointing when it's 20 degrees outside and you expect your truck to have been warming up for the last 10 minutes.

Curiosity question. If I disconnected the Green/White wire on pin #3 on red connector of Dball or at pin #22 on main body ecu connector, would that simply not turn on any lights while the truck is running? Would there be any negative reason to do this?

My thought process here is that when the truck is in my drive way running in the morning, I am beginning to think that I would like it more if there were no lights on while it is running. I get a verification that the truck is running from the SmartStart app so I don't need any visual indications that the truck is running.

What I have also done in the meantime is I set a dark black wallpaper on the headunit then turn screen off before shutting off truck so that it's a black image on headunit when truck is running, but also would like no lights in addition.

If I buy the DSM 300 from Amazon.com, is there anything different in terms of firmware that is required to get it subscribed onto a Canadian carrier such as Rogers / Telus / Bell ?

Yes. You need a Canadian version.

They're using Carlink/Autolink/LINKR paired with a DB3 for PTS or an EVO-ONE for HKEY.

    Hi all,

Just got a DSM550 to install with my KB Voodoo Remote Start (dball2) and now seeing this! Bummer... Can anyone confirm if Drone Smart Start units would work with my KB Voodoo Remote Start or can anyone point me towards a directed dealer who wouldn't mind setting up my credentials?

    Thanks in advance
