For the inquisitive minds, here is my electrical/ fridge box (sans fridge). I'm using a Goal Zero 3000 to do all the solar charging (200 watts), the 12v and 120.

Interestingly enough, Goal Zero sells an adapter that take all the 12v outputs to one single mini-anderson connector, which is what is feeding the Blue Sea terminal/fuse box.

Yes, it is a mess for the moment, BUT it works!!

In addition to using our shower and sink as designed, this water system will also give us the ability to pump water into the tank from a fresh water source (such as a river or lake) using the same pump. The water is filtered on the way into the tank, and as it leaves the tank. Neat!

This day has been coming for a loooong time!

After ordering a dometic fridge slide for my CFX3 75DZ back in February, I was recently told it is back ordered until the end of June. With some help from some fellow members, I was able to find this bad boy. I had a few constraints to work within, as you can see.

She fits! This is the most excited I've been on this build in a long time. Ice cream in the backcountry!

Looks good! Out of curiosity, have you weighed this thing yet? Do you have a target weight in mind?

Thanks! I haven't weighed it yet, that's on the schedule for this week. I'd like to keep the dry weight to under 2000lbs.

    Now we're cooking!!

We're carrying propane with us for cooking, a hot shower, and the sink. To be determined if we add a heater for the cabin, but we have room to expand for that.

T-minus 3 days until the inaugural trip!

    Success!

First trip with the trailer, and it didn't fall apart! We headed down to Portsmouth Island, NC to spend the long weekend on the deserted beach

2nd big trip down in the books! Stops included Zion, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. Utah does not disappoint!

That is a very nice rig you've built there sir. Adding an awning to these types of builds gives it a more roomy looking appearance. If you haven't bought the walls for the awning yet it is worth looking into, losing some of the view of landscape is a minus in my book, but if you're trying to add a bit of privacy it can be well worth it.

They are on the list! After running into cold weather for the first time, we will be getting the side walls at some point this winter.

    Looks good!

How tall is the box, and is it 10’ on the base, or what part is the 10’ measurement referring to?

I’m starting to plan something similar out, I just picked up a 5x8 trailer tonight.

The box is just over 4' tall. About 4' 4" tall. The 5'x10' refers to the rectangle base that I started with. In reality it's really 5x11 with the overhang in the back.

Best of luck and have fun!
