i did this also and still had the squeak, so i raised the truck again and did the samething to the front anti-squeak pad right next to the c-clip in the front and no squeak going two weeks strong

did find a way to work the tubes out. if you are doing lots of water crossings with big bumps underit, they will start to slowly work them out. i'm gluing the ones i didnt. for normal road use they should be fine though

Got real tired of the squeaky springs...had to jack up the tunes to drown it out...folks could hear me coming. I kept complaining about it this past year at every oil change--purchased 09 a year ago last July. Dealership cleaned and lubed once...and finally they performed a service bulletin and replaced pads. There are rubber pads between the springs now...I don't remember them being there before....anyway so far so good, mud and water NO SQUEAK...Hallelujah! Could actually ride with windows down and not be driven crazy...it squeaked from day one. I hauled an half pallet of pavers/1200lbs+ and they made fun of my squealing taco--and pulled a trailer with pavers on it. Never bottomed out..I only have the 3 leaf springs--good enough. Now I can stand on the nerf bars and bounced...no noise...If it comes back...next bushings replaced? We will see.

I ended up just squirting some oil on the springs at the pivot points and areas where the springs contact each other because I wanted that squeak gone one day fast. It's been good to go for about a month now, maybe more. I'm sure it will be back though.

My squeak developed over 6 months after installing Toytec add a leafs, non TSB. After reading this thread, I decided to first re-tighten my U-Bolts. Cured 99+% of my squeak, which had gotten really bad. Only occasional squeaks now.

An update to the alternate fix by tightening the old U-Bolts.......
After approx three weeks of blissful quietude, the dreaded squeaking has returned. Looks like I'll be prying my leafs apart...

My rear leafs were squeaking badly, whenever applying the brakes coming to a stop, or reversing out of a parking spot...it sounded like the brakes needed replaced. Not sure if this fix will help anyone else, but it has CURED my squeak for over a month! WD-40. Sprayed it where the metal contacts are, the u bolts, basically anywhere. took about 1 min. per side and squeaks no more:D

I had squeaks on my leaf springs after putting on the lift right where the metal nub rubs against the lower spring. The wife got tired of me cranking the tunes to get rid of the sound so I made some rubberized spacers, jacked the truck up, pryed apart the springs and stuck them right where those nubs were. Done and done.

I did my OME rear leafs today and it seemed to work very well. I cut the bicycle tire tube into about 6-8" lengths but left it rolled so I get twice as much inner tube between each leaf. I was able to get 4 pieces per side (front and back of each leaf) and that seemed to do the trick. I was getting SO TIRED of the darn truck squeeking like crazy over every little bump. Nice tip!

I've heard others blame the bushings for the squeeking but that doesn't seem to be my problem.
