$80 isn't bad for having it done right. I always end up using 2x as much tint to fix my mistakes when I do it myself.

Guaranteed it will look like shit your first few times around. By the time you get it figured out you will have wasted not only yards of film, but hours of your time, but hey, you save $50.

Good luck with the rear windows, they are a bitch to tint, even for the professionals

Im all about DIY too, but with tints, worth the cash to have a pro do it.

    Fucking look it up
I recommend getting it done professionally. first off its a pain in the ass to not get bubbles in it. professionals know what they are doing and most offer lifetime warranty on peeling bubbling and fading got my whole truck done for like 140 I think and haven't had a problem since

Well I went ahead and did my back window by myself. Let me just say that it looks a little better than my professional back home did on my last truck. No bubbles are in it and I could'nt be happier. So for anyone else that is thinking about doing this I promise its possible just take your time. I think this is something everyone should try to do, I think the majority of people are afraid to do it though because they are afraid of messing up but you never know if you don't try. The first two pictures are with the side two panels completed and the last picture is the completely finished product. Thanks guys

Looks Great! I've always ordered a higher quality tint off ebay, pre-cut (easy way), and did my own. I did it the right way, alcohol, razor blade, baby shampoo, heat gun...... After I did a few of my trucks, I've had to do a few friend's trucks. It can be done with patience...

Go dark or don't bother, that's how I feel! 5% tint all around here.

Best advice would be to find a tint shop that has been around for awhile. Cheaper shops usually use cheaper films. 3m crystalline and llumar Window films are the norm around here and are quality. A reputable tint shop would not hesitate to show you and inform you on what brand of film will be going in your vehicle. If the film is a purpleish and hazy after the curing time you may have low quality film.
