Alright guys I'm a newb here been lurking for a while. I bought a 07 taco 2wd regular cab 5speed 2.7, I'm looking at the djm 3/4 kit. What is a good wheel/tire setup I want 18s at least but really would like 20s if possible? What offset? Tire sizes? Also how is tire wear with this kit keep in mind it is my daily driver

    DJM 3/4 drop, 18" SC430's, K & N, Dynomax Catback
I put the DJM on my 2008 last month.

I have Lexus SC430 wheels with the stock 245/45/18 tire size which is 1" overall smaller in diameter than stock or 255/ 45/ 18 X-Runner stock tires.

Good luck with the cutting and lower control arm installation.

I think I have 20+ hours invested in mine with the drop and cutting and Dynomax exhaust and belt filters fluids brakes suspension etc and I had even a hoist to work with.

If you didn't buy the truck already there was one on BAY with 20's and a DJM kit and STICK (which I wish I had) with 74K miles for $10.5K but you get mor estreet cred if you did the work yoursl3ef an didn't pay someone to do it for you or bought it already done.

Be sure to get you're Sawzall out  and a new 1/2" drill bit and make sure not to nick the plastic gas tank like I did or crush it like I did while supporting the rear diff.

All of those magazine articles and online how to's make it out to be a 1/2 hour install.

One online install skipped the rear C-notch frame cut which after doing my truck I would almost recommend unless you experience a problem with bottoming out.

And you will have to trim the dust shield on the tailshaft of the trans otherwise you will get arotation squake which I could have sworn was the front brake heat shield rubbing on the rotor.

The only flaw with the kit was one of the rear bump stop threaded holes in the C-Notch bracket was not tapped properly and one of the threaded holes on the upper control arm for the ABS sensor wire was full of weld slag.

I emailed them about the ruined rear bump stop and they sent me a new one.

I let the weld slag go since I tried to drill out and retap the hole which didn't work out and after 20+ hours I wasn't about to pull the upper control arm off even if they offered to send me a new one.

I still have enough load capacity to haul my beer cans to the scrap yard :stirthepot:

I think the 1" larger tires stock tire size would make the drop look more dramatic.
