Yes and yes.

Prado based trucks did as well.

2018 and up have a different coating and internal wax but will eventually rust like the rest.

 

So the 2018 and up frame design is basically unchanged as far as shape and size being C channel etc?

They fixed the coating and added wax so its basically lipstick on a pig then, wow.

 

So far it’s not as bad but I expect them all to rust eventually.

The 05-11 was really bad.

 

Any vehicle that lives in an area where they salt/treat the roads or near saltwater is going to rust if steps aren't taken to mitigate it, some may rot out faster than others but they all will rot out if not washed/treated with rust protection.

 

My 2014 white Tacoma have rust around each window frame sucks that it’s not covered by warranty

 

Window frame geez dude my frame has holes in it because dealership lied to me !
