Toyota in their infinite wisdom deleted the front bedrail from the 3rd gen trucks. All the holes are there, looks like a 2nd gen rail will bolt right on. Do they fit? If so, where is the best place to get one besides the dealer?

Yes the front header rail fits with no mods required - direct bolt on

I figured as much by looking at it, thanks. Really curious if anyone has a good source for these outside of the dealer?

It's going to be a dealer only part unless you find someone selling a used one. One could buy it off Amazon, but the savings wasn't enough to make me want to buy it on there. They're not that expensive, but the end caps are a huge WTF for what they cost.

If I remember correctly the rail was about the same price as the 2 plastic end caps...WTF is right. Then a couple months later I installed a Diamondback cover and now have 2 spare end caps sitting on my toolbox. Wish I could do that one over!

I got mine on Amazon earlier this year but can’t seem to find it any longer.

Yeah when I search Amazon or ebay I'm just getting a lot of accessories that attach to the truck rails rather than the rails themselves. I guess the stealer is the single option right now

Check my post. I’ve got the link to the OEM rail there. New not used.

Thanks, that gives me the part number and now I see it is actually referred to as the "header rail" which is bringing up much better search results. Looks like shipped with tax would be $48 for me, I'll look around and see what else is out there but so far that's about as good as it gets. Thanks again

It’s free shipping at TRDshop. Bought mine for $31 shipped

Unless is $48shipped with end caps that good.

TRDshop wants $20 and change to ship to me, so over $50 total. Went with Landpirate's link, ToyotaPartsDeal. Shipping was less, and all the ones on ebay were the same price with "free shipping".

I’m in CA too and the estimate is $20 to ship but used the code and $20 was deleted.

That's what I get for being fast I guess. I'd post up whatever code you used for anyone else who might come across this thread in the future.
