Do all Tacoma Hoods Fit Across All Trim Levels if Same Generation?

Hey everyone, rookie here. I just got my 2022 Tacoma Limited a week ago. Obviously it didn’t come with the coveted hood scoop that everyone is after. Looking at the specs across all trim levels it would seem that all hoods should swap without an issue for fitment but when I go onto Toyota dealerships online parts and put my truck in for the Hood Scoop Panel (part# 5330104230) it says it doesn’t fit my truck? Would someone be able to tell me why that is and if I was luckily enough to do a hood swap with a TRD Sport/Pro owner in the future would the hood not fit my truck if it’s the same year? Yes, If it's a 3rd Gen hood it will fit.

 

I swapped with a 2019. Life is good!

 

You could also go after market if you can not find a hood swap.

Toyota says it will not "fit" because your VIN didn't come with a scoop. They will only say parts will fit that were originally installed on your truck. Just like if you went to buy TRD OR shocks, they won't "fit" your truck either. Welcome to the Nightshade club!!
