    Hi All,

I want to install the temp/compass module into my 09 4cyl AC, and while researching i stumbled upon multiple statements that it's not possible for 4cyl, although all part numbers are the same as 6cyl. Does anyone with 4cyl have temp/compass installed at the factory? Thanks.
P.S. I'm specifically looking at 2009-2011 range since it appears later models had it in the mirror and previous models had temp sensor wired differently.

I had a 2013 SR5 AC that came with it. I really miss that in current truck

I added one to my 09 4cyl Prerunner access cab, and I was prewired. The one I had came out of an 05 prerunner TRD OR

Mine is also prewired. 09-11 have 5 wires for the temp module, 05-08 have 6. I'm surprised your setup worked with 05 part.

That's interesting, mine plugged right in and worked fine. That being that case though, i'd probably try to find one from an 05-11 just to be on the safe side

Just to confirm your thinking, my '13 5 lug was prewired, but I had to add the mirror to gain the function. B/U screen, temp, compass all in the mirror. Works great.

Nice, which mirror did you install?

Don't recall the brand right now, but I think it was a Gentex. Bought in the BST forum here from a member.

It also has autodim, but not Homelink.

The temp, camera display and autodim are useful.

I did not need Homelink nor do I need a compass.

(I have Dads old Army compass in my console should my phone not be available and I actually 'need' a compass.)
