I've recently replaced my low beams, high beams, and fog lights with diode dynamics led bulbs. No issues so far with the lows and highs. However, about only 2 weeks into running the new lights, my passenger side fog light started flickering. Not a strobe type of flicker, more of just a random jumpy flicker almost as if it was short circuiting. I got a matching replacement bulb and installed it just a couple days ago and that fixed my problem. But guess what happens this morning? My driver side fog light went out completely! That begs the question: do fog lights require fog light specific bulbs or am I just having bad luck? Diode dynamics does make a fog light specific H11 bulb, however I opted to go with the normal H11 as it features a cooling fan which I like and the fog version does not. You would think a bulb that claims to be the "only american made led headlight bulb" would not be as problematic. No where in the manual, as far as I'm aware, does it mention anything about the fog light requiring a fog light specific bulb.

It requires an H11 bulb. That is technically as fog light specific as it can be. I would re-check your connections. The first bulb very well might still be just fine.

I know DD has pretty great customer service, so I supposed its also possible you got a bad batch at the first round somehow...might just take changing out the other one to be good.

I checked over the connections real good when I initially had the flickering problem and again when I installed the replacement. Everything looked fine. I doubt that's the problem.

And I was unaware h11s are foglight specific. The low beams run off h11s as well. Strange.

Put the OEM bulbs back in and see if it continues...

Will have to try that tomorrow hopefully. I have a pretty good feeling the problem lies within the aftermarket lights though. I never had this issue with the OEM lights.
