    do i have a leak?

Installed my TRD short-shifter earlier today... not too tough.

    followed this:

but after i removed the transmission retainer housing... i noticed pretty fresh/clean oil in the bottom of my housing. I didnt clean it up and proceeded with my install and it works just fine.

Curious if this is an issue since all the other install of peoples housing seems squeaky clean... do i have a leak?

You are fine. That is not a tight sealed area under the shifter.
