My girl friend has been commenting that i spend too much time on this site. Is there a place we can set up a coalition against angry girl friends/wifes?

You don't have a problem friend. SHE has a problem.

Man's search for knowledge is important, time honored and necessary to the continued advancement of the race. Women's self centered demands on men's time is not. Where will it stop if you fold to her wishes that you don't visit this important site.... Moving furniture, doing dishes, dress shopping, arranging flowers?!?

Do you think Leonardo Da Vinci stopped "playing with his models" at the beck and call of a woman? Did Einstein stop wasting his time "scribbling on his chalk board"? Was Alexander the Great home in time for dinner?? All great men have had the purpose and drive to accomplish their goals not withstanding what would have made their women happy at the moment.

Sir, It is nothing less than your DUTY TO MANKIND to research, learn, dream and create, thus making the world a better place for us all.

Sure am! She has her interests, I have my interests and We have our interests. It works because we enjoy what we share in common but and allow each other the room to do what we like.

Amateurs! The solution is to be sooo incompetent at those "other tasks" that she'll refuse to let you do them. For example, doing the dishes? Make sure you put the oil drip pan or something like a spare carburetor in the dishwasher with everything else and then brag about your ingenuity. When you put the dishes away, put the glasses with the pans. Put some plastic lids in with the dishes. Doing the laundry? "Accidently" drop a new red shirt in with the whites. Sure you may have some pink t-shirts but she'll be desperate to get you out of there and you'll never be trusted with those tasks again. That's TacomaWorld time right there. They expect you to do stupid man things. Use that!

And get yourself some of these when you're stuck watching one of those estrogen shows on the battered woman channel.

Thats funny this kind of post came up. Before i bought my 08 tacoma, i was on this website for hours doing research about tacomas and whats better ex.. I got so wrapped up in all this at all hours of the day, that my gf finally just said and i quote " just buy the dam fing truck so you will get off this website and pay more attention to me" ...so the next day i bought the truck and im very happy with my truck. But i still go on here everyday just to see what is going on and whats the new drama for the day in a life of a taco owner.
ps im on here at the moment because she is watching project runway on bravo and i cant stand that dumb show

my wife has been bugging me about TW. She wants me to come watch tv with her. I told her that the only rational solution is for me to get a laptop.

I no longer have to vacuum, now that I can't seem to get any hair up. oh well.

Also, I've managed to turn yard work into a 3-6 hour job. She can get the house pretty clean in that time.
